In 1995 Lilquiwi
(lee-kee-wee) Films was Bryan
Huynh’s brain child idea for a film production company, and he finally
launched it in 2001 (although to date he has not maxed out his credit cards).
But first, he ran the idea by his friends, and they gave it “two enthusiastic
thumbs up.” Although with different backgrounds and roles, they have a common
passion in filmmaking. |

BRYAN
HUYNH (Executive Producer)
Bryan started out at George Mason University (GMU) and went to UCLA to study
film. He loved the west coast especially when Venice Beach was 20 minutes
away. But, the complication with credits between two schools forced him to go
back to GMU. The turning defined moment was in the fall semester of his
junior year when he took an English class called Introduction of Film, where the professor asked the
class to write a scene with dialogue as it was meant to be seen and heard.
Although he continued in the visual arts, he also had a thing for the movies
and theatre and secretly wanted to become an actor but soon found his
combined passions for behind the camera evolving with writers tell their
stories. He graduated with a spectacularly unprofitable B.A. degree in
English especially for Asians at that time when his friends were majoring in
either biology (pre-med), information technology or engineering. After
graduation he relocated to Orange County (yes, just like The O.C. television
series) with the highly original idea of "becoming a screen writer." The
west coast experience had many memorable moments, because he met Todd and
Megan at UCLA film seminar/workshop. Time was well spent and his passion
continued to grow more. A few years later he returned back home to Northern
Virginia, because his parents were still waiting for him to get a “real job”
with health insurance. He continued his interests through participation at
Horizon Theatre, New Works Theatre, and Source Theatre. In order to learn his
crafts he wore many hats like sound and lighting operator; then, play
writing, producing, assistant directing and directing plays. But, he knew his
calling was in filmmaking. Fast
forward to the present time - His week days begin at 5AM at Gold Gym for
activities of biking and step climbing, and a routine fitness regimen. His
sport activities include playing single match in a competitive tennis
leagues, and a softball team. Currently, he is employed for a consulting and defense
business company, and working with earned value methodologies on a
government’s project in Marlton, New Jersey. Previously, he has worked for
Boost Mobile and AOL Canada. Bryan holds an MBA degree from University of
Phoenix. Filmmography
